OMC Insurance Agency BLOG: "The Insurance Stump"
Our name, "The Insurance Stump" was coined back in 2010 as a play on words. I grew up in a woods. Sometimes, when you need to put a path through sn area, you need to cut down some trees. What you have left is a stump. The thing about trees is, as they grow they produce "rings" in the "stem"/ trunk of the tree. These rings tell a story to those of us who know how to read them. Knowing what the rings tell us helps to determine whether this will be a good place to put the path or not.
The other play on "Stump" is being "stumped" by terminology in the insurance trade. Sometimes, it helps to have a professional explain to you the terminology and the reason one product might be better than another for you to achieve your financial protection. There is a reason that I take part in and study classes on Insurance products and the laws pertaining to them. There is a reason I read up to date articles, participate in WEBinars and Seminars, and use a computer to search out the best programs to meet each clients' needs. And yes, I use other brokerage houses to assist when needed. (Trust me, I ask a lot of questions when a company introduces a new product...)
I have been in the Insurance Industry since January, 2006, and I have been an independent since 2008. I have owned and operated my own businesses since 1981. Two businesses I merged into one. The other is "OMC Insurance Agency" which I formed upon becoming an Independent Insurance Professional. I understand what it takes to start up a new business, how to protect your business, and your family.
I know what it's like to be married, raise children, and try to prepare for the "unknowns" that we all encounter every day. I know how scary it can be to try to plan for your child's future: College, Trade School, Tech College, etc. I know how scary it is to try to plan for a way to provide for your family... in case you become "disabled" and can't work... or worse... you die unexpectedly. What if your spouse becomes disabled? What happens if they die early?
This is why I became an Insurance and Annuity Professional. I enjoy working with people and helping them find solutions. I have found companies who will help insure people who are usually considered "Un-insurable". Unless you are dying in less than a year, I can find you insurance. (And even if you are dying in less than a year, you might fool the Doctors and live longer, so call me to see if I can be of assistance.
The one thing I learned early on is: "The ONLY 'dumb question' is the one NOT asked!"
